If you are planning on growing a veggy garden this Spring and Summer, raised garden beds are a great choice.  They minimize the weeds, offer good irrigation and you will have fluffy, rich soil for healthy plants.  The raised bed will also help to control the temperature of the soil, creating ideal conditions for your plants.

Of course, your local hardware store and loads of on-line resources will sell you convenient raised bed kits made out of all kinds of materials, including ones that are made of recycled plastic (pretty cool!).  But, you can easily (and more cheaply) make your own.  They can be as simple or as complex as you want.
